That used to be one of the highlights of 'Film Day' and I haven't seen it since I was in shorts at junior school.<br /><br />We had 'Film Day' at school in the week before Christmas every year. Instead of lessons all four years gathered in the school hall for a local projectionist who came and showed films and cartoons and shorts all day long. It was heaven! And there was one reel of The Preying Mantis which was on our list of favourites; I think it was the final reel, so it was cheesy horror action all the way!
