All the Horror Movies in the World

Sometimes I think I've run out of wonderful old spooky movies from the 1930s, 40s and 50s. Then I go and find a whole lot of ludicrous old things I haven't seen yet! Just look at these posters...!

  1. I've seen the Thing that Couldn't Die via Mystery Science Theatre 3000. What an education that show was... Terror from the Year 5000 was a particular memory. 'We've carbon dated it to minus three thousands years. It's from the future!'

  2. Wow - The Deadly Mantis! That used to be one of the highlights of 'Film Day' and I haven't seen it since I was in shorts at junior school.

We had 'Film Day' at school in the week before Christmas every year. Instead of lessons all four years gathered in the school hall for a local projectionist who came and showed films and cartoons and shorts all day long. It was heaven! And there was one reel of The Preying Mantis which was on our list of favourites; I think it was the final reel, so it was cheesy horror action all the way!
