LOVE, NINA by Nina Stibbe
Here's a lovely, funny memoir / diary from the early 1980s about a hopeless nanny living in with a hopeless family. There's just a touch of the faux-naif Adrian Moles about it and at times it feels a little contrived. But I liked it a lot anyway. The vision of Alan Bennett arriving for his tea, bearing a bowlful of a half-eaten rice pudding he's made, sadly describing it as 'a bit claggy' is the best bit.
This sounds great! Going to try it x
